Important Update Regarding Telehealth Coverage

Updated: 1 day ago

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed about your healthcare, we want to share an important update regarding telehealth services.

**The current federal exemption allowing expanded coverage for telehealth visits is set to expire on March 31, 2025.** After this date, individual insurance providers may choose to adjust their telehealth coverage policies. **This means your plan may no longer fully cover virtual visits unless renewed or extended by your insurer.**

**What You Should Do:**

1️⃣ **Contact your insurance provider** before March 31, 2025, to confirm whether telehealth services will remain covered under your plan after this date.

2️⃣ Ask specific questions, such as:

- “Will my plan continue to cover telehealth visits after March 31, 2025?”

- “Are there any new requirements (e.g., in-person consultations) for telehealth coverage?”

3️⃣ Update our office with any changes to your insurance information.

**Why This Matters:**

Failing to confirm coverage could result in unexpected out-of-pocket costs for telehealth appointments scheduled after the exemption expires. While some insurers may continue covering virtual care, others may revert to pre-pandemic policies.

**We’re Here to Help:**

If you have questions or need assistance navigating this process, please contact our office at 937-319-4448 or Andrea@riverscapecounseling.com. We remain dedicated to providing flexible care options and will work with you to ensure continuity in your treatment.
