Associate Counselor in Training

Carli is a second-year Masters student in the Clinical Mental Health track at Walsh University. She has worked with the adult population regarding adjustments to real-world situations.
She is a firm believer that all people; no matter their background, age, or gender; deserve to be understood and accepted by those they can put their complete and unwavering trust in. She approaches counseling with the Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral perspectives, which take into consideration the events of one's life and the process of making positive changes. She aspires to create a safe and supportive counseling environment through which her clients can express themselves for who they are and become the best person they can be.
Carli takes a holistic view of her clients, in which she strives to see the whole self. She believes that both interconnectedness and the relationships in society play crucial parts in one's well-being. She aspires to integrate empathetic understanding, reflective listening, and congruence into her practice to allow for personal growth and self-awareness for her clients.
Carli is dedicated to the continuous learning and understanding of all people and their journeys. Having been the client herself, she views counseling as an important aspect of taking care of the whole person. As she continues to develop in her training, Carli is committed to applying her skills and knowledge while continuing to grow in her appreciation of the counseling environment.
